One Hundred
Installment One: The Sweet Sixteen
The Sweet Sixteen is the first
installment of the Swing One Hundred, a suite of
one hundred original drawings of one hundred different
LPGA players at Ladies Professional Golf Association
tournaments.
Traditionally, drawing is exploratory,
a way of learning the visual nature of things.
I am still learning how to visualize, in two dimensions,
what makes these women intriguing and extraordinary;
the comments I have received from players and fans
lead me to believe I’m heading in the right
direction. My expectation is that Swing Ninety-one
through Swing One Hundred will differ in many ways
from these first sixteen drawings.
Each of these
is an original work of art, not a reproduction
or a “print.” In
the event of a sale, the artist retains copyright
to all artwork unless stipulated otherwise in writing.
Each drawing is identified as to location, tournament,
and date. The names of the players have been
omitted.
